Patience with Lucy
Mar 24th, 2010 by Dr. Lee

Girls and Boys,

The read aloud was a few weeks ago. I am very interested in reading how you have shown patience in the classroom, cafeteria, specials or at home.  I hope you are getting a lot of AOK tickets. Thanks Dr. Lee

Dr. Lee’s Title
Dec 17th, 2009 by Dr. Lee

Girls and boys, your titles are great! I think my title is similar to what some of you wrote. Here it is. "Yours is Mine and Mine is Yours". What do you think? Here’s a short video about sharing from the assembly. Dr. Lee

Different Title
Dec 12th, 2009 by Dr. Lee

If Leo Lionni, the author of It’s Mine, asked you to write a different title to his book, what would it be? I can’t wait to read your ideas.

Dec 3rd, 2009 by Dr. Lee

Dear Mrs. Fanning’s, Ms. Morahan’s and Mrs. Fleming’s classes,

Monday is our next read aloud. We will be reading the book It’s Mine. This is a wonderful book about sharing. Please send me your ideas about what it means to share. Thanks for being part of my blog! Dr. Lee

Girls and boys, if you could create your own community what would you name it and why?  From Dr. Lee

Dr. Lee in Roxaboxen
Nov 7th, 2009 by Dr. Lee

Frances came back to Roxaboxen 50 years later. Why do you think people like to return to their class or town community?

Welcome students in Mrs. Griffith’s, Ms. Williams’ and Ms. Brady’s classes.

The new word of the month is "Community". Before you hear the story Roxaboxen by Alice McLerran, I’d like to read about what you think the word "Community" means.

What do you think it would be like being Velvet?
Oct 8th, 2009 by Dr. Lee

Before you answer the question, pretend that you were new to a school and other students treated you like Velvet.

If Velvet was a student in TZE what would you do to help her?
Sep 30th, 2009 by Dr. Lee

Girls and boys, I have really enjoyed reading your posts on the blog about Friendship. Now I would like to see how you would help Velvet if she was a student in our school. One thing to remember, you can respond to other students’ responses on the blog.  For example, if a student writes that she would invite Velvet to her house, you might write that doing that is a good idea.  Your teachers will explain more about this to you.

Odd Velvet and Friendship
Sep 22nd, 2009 by Dr. Lee

Odd Velvet is a story about a girl who goes to a new school and has a hard time making new friends.  Before you hear the story at our Character Education Read Aloud, I’d be very interested in hearing what you think friendship means. Thanks for being a part of my blog!         Dr. Lee
